Your data, and where it's stored

You're handing over real documents to get verified — a government ID, a registration certificate. Here's what we actually do with them.

Where it's stored

Your personal and verification data is stored in your own country's region, not wherever happens to be convenient for us — because that's what your country's data protection law actually requires, not just a policy we're choosing to follow. As ResourceGrid launches in new countries, each one gets its own regional storage, matching that country's law.

Who sees it

Your documents are used for one purpose: confirming your identity or registration so you can be verified. Automated extraction and cross-checking handle most of it; a human reviewer sees your documents only when a case needs an actual person to resolve it. Your verification documents are never sold, and never shared beyond what verifying you actually requires.

How long we keep it

The pattern: we keep verification data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable window after it closes in case a dispute needs it — then it's deleted. That deletion is an automated process, not a manual cleanup someone has to remember to run.

The exact length of that post-closure window is still being finalized per country, with legal input — we're not publishing a specific figure here until it's actually confirmed. This page will be updated with real numbers once it is.

Your rights over your own data

Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your data beyond the standard retention schedule. If you want to exercise any of those, contact us — see also our full Privacy Policy.
